Hello,
My jade plant has recently developed a dark purple color under the leaves and I am hoping to determine the reason for it.

Heres some background....

I have a relatively small jade plant and some cuttings that i propagated from it. The mother has spent the past 2 years exclusively indoors. It sits in a west facing window, is watered properly, and is fertilized 2 times every summer.

I was trying tto provide more light by placing the plant outside, but i forgot to bring it in at night. The temp dropped to around 35F that night. A day later the underside of some leaves were deep purple.

I assume the plant got too cold, but i am not sure.

What do you think caused the discoloration?

What can i expect for the affected leaves to do?
