Love that color of pink--the contrast in the middle is really striking. I could never get one of those to flower here.

I have more of them on my flicker page. I always have a hard time picking the photos. I was at home working on a project in my shop and had to walk by it all day. It was a joy. This one will bloom more than once a year.I don't know why it doesn't bloom for you. I feed it a sea weed thing called More Bloom ( no nitrogen) diluted to 1/4 recommended dose and it gets it every watering. It does live outside here and gets water about once a week in the summer. If it rains, I skip watering.

Well maybe I should try one. It would be worth it to see that beautiful flower in person. Pink is my favorite cactus flower color.

Your cat is also very photogenic--looks great for 15 :-)

keep us updated on those also. The cat looks like he's standing guard and may have spotted a desert mouse in the distance.
