Agave pups, newly potted why are leaves curled inward

Hi everyone. Many of the young rooted pups which I have separated from main plants have inward curled leaves, sometimes even after several months. I am not quite sure if it is a water issue or a sun issue.

They have been in full sun, so I am thinking it might be better in a semi shady spot, until they start to show new growth?

Thanks for your help!

Got pictures? That might be a good guess. I find that the pups were probably shaded from the sun by their mom and need to harden them selves to the sun and develop a good root structure. One could put a cardboard sunshield up and see if that would help.

Yes I'd put them in the shade until the rainy season starts. They are trying to shade themselves by turning inward.

Thanks, I moved them to a shadier spot.
