Richard, seeing so many pups, I was afraid to say it looked like Echinopsis to me. But now that Mark said it...I will. :P

If that is a 2 inch pot, can we also allow for Rebutia/Sulcorebutia? The acute ribs, the offsets.... I don't want to put a stake in the ground, and just suggesting something RoRo has not mentioned should be my sign to stop, but just out of curiosity, stumpy, how big is this plant?

Probably an Echinopsis, judging from the elongation of the pups. No Rebutia has long ones like that that I have ever seen.
