potting soil for cacti

I mix my own using pumice, perlite & soil. The only two options I have for soil are Miracle Gro for Cacti or my organic composted soil. Which would be best? If I use Miracle Gro should I sift out the large pieces of bark & other junk, or use as is? Thanks for help.

I think Cacti soil is still better than compost, but yes definitely get rid of the barks pieces as much as you can.

Thanks so much! Maybe someday I will learn all I need to know to grown a healthy succulent.

No problem! Have fun and good luck! Usually if you get the basics down: Water, sun, and soil; you will have pretty healthy plants
