A ceramic mug is only an appropriate container if you drilled a drainage hole in the bottom.

It appears to me that it's too small. Something a little larger so the plant has room to grow. Also, I would make sure whatever container you put it in has good drainage. Hope that helps!

Emee, it looks maxed out already, it will be ok though IF you only want to show case it for a short time & then repot it in a larger pot.

Sometimes I've potted things that appeared a bit crowed and I've thought,.Hey its only for a while its not permanate. Then its ok.

I think the pot size is a bit too small, it has almost no more room to grow from there, so yeah you can leave it there temporarily but might have to repot quite soon, the good thing is they don't grow all that fast I believe.

Mine is quite crowded too because there're three plants but I think at least a 4" pot is needed

I got it repotted into a bit larger container. I didn't water it & I've put it out of the sun for a few days. Now I'll keep my fingers crossed that it will live. thanks.
