After you have the flowers wait for them to completely dry out. Look for the brown fruit and put them on a white piece of paper, and shake the seed out of the fruit. It will look like dust. Next step, take a 4" box of mix that is damp, and put in the micro wave for 5 minutes, after that, make sure the soil is just barely damp and sprinkle the seeds on top of the soil, do not press down the soil, then on top put some white fine bird gravel, or vermiculite, a very thin amount over the top of the soil, just to hold the soil in when you water. Then start misting just enough to keep damp and often enough to do so, perhaps 4 times a day. Make sure they have enough light to surive but not so much to fry. Make sure there is air circulation so they don't dampen off, and get algae. When you see green specks the seeds have germinated, keep misting once a day, until the seeds get their second leaves. Then start to water once a week, but not letting them dry out. Fertilize with a very diluted fertilizer after you water, do this for about a year or until the plants are rooted and large enough to handle, transplant to where you want them, and wait a year until they flower. Why would anyone perfer this method is beyond me, it gets me tired just typing it out. Norma

I just tried to make it sound easy. I was only responding to the question asked. I just take cuttings, leave them on a flat until I see the roots and plant them, it sure beats all of that work. I have a year jump start on growth that way, you also need to get lucky and get the seed to germinate. Mine puts down it's own roots and spread. Now I want to find out how to get rid of them. LOL the root after they flower. Norma

Mine are sending down roots from every node. Always root or start plants after they flower, they are giving you a hint on how to propagate them. Norma
