propagating succulents from leaves

Im propagating my succulent and I'm not sure how wet the soil should be. The container on the bottom has less water and the container on the top has more water. (I have put some dry soil in the container with more water for comparison) Which container has the right amount of water in it?

Mist the leaves every second day or so, keep them warm and somewhat sunny, and I unequivocally guarantee that you'll have roots in 4 weeks (or less). Don't water the soil but mist the leaves.

Agree with Jeff's wise advise. Just allowing leaves to lay out will grow roots and plants with an occasional misting.
