Your fellow neighbor from WI here has noticed that Wal-Mart has started picking this junk up already. Probably to hide the poor care of most of their plants. Same with our regional Steins gardens and gifts.

I feel bad everytime going plants shopping at Walmart.. the succulents are indoor and on the shelves with little to none artificial lights..and glued on rocks. I feel bad cuz I don;t have the space to bring them home and save them+

Anything To Make a Buck

Those are as stupid looking as some of the novelty cactus I've seen at HomeDepot

1. Fake/Dried brightly colored flowers glued to cactus
And
2. Cactus sprayed/painted bright neon colors that they call something like Cosmos or Space Cactus or some other dumb *** name

Who Buys These Thing & Why???

I know no self respecting plant enthusiast would be caught dead buying anything like that

What a World What a World

Not seen any of the above examples here in the UK.....yet. No doubt I will spy them soon along with all the other grossly pimped up plants that the suppliers think look good. Can't recall the store but earlier this year many stores had trays of dyed heathers with vivid green, blue, red and orange foliage.

I find them all an abomination of mother nature's own power of colour and who uses it far better than any bloke in a plant wholesalers armed with a few spray cans and a packet of dye.
