I don't think the first is Dudleya nesiotica. The flowers and rosettes look more like D. caespitosa, which is common all along the California coast from Baja to a hundred miles north of SF. Check the Calflora database for pictures.

I tried using that database for your second plant, searching for both native and non-native plants from that location, but couldn't find anything.

Brad, thanks for the correction. When I searched (santa cruz island + native dudleya), I found info on D. nesiotica which is endemic to Santa Cruz Island. A search for Dudleya nesiotica shows lots of D. caespitosa mislabeled as the other. The caespitosa is what really stands out. I can see now they look very different. I wish I could edit the header now. Thanks for the effort on the other.

The 2nd one is Mesembryanthemum crystallinum, native to Africa, Mediterranean shorelines, Canary Islands and Azores. But naturalized on many warm coasts in the world, thus also in Santa Cruz Island and Baja California.

Thanks Jordi! You know, I thought is was a Mesemb but didn't think they were native around here. I've got some Mesembryanthemum guerichianum seeds on order from Mesa. I thought they looked similar.
