The bud is peeking up a bit more as of this morning. I wonder how long it will take to blooming here in the north.
Teengardner, I bought it as an Aloe Vera and last Dec. one of the other members said they believed it to be a true Aloe Vera, so now I am waiting for the yellow flower to say "Yes, I am".

Rosemarie, I like macro's too but this little canon I got last year does not do the greatest macro shots.

It may be a couple of weeks (or more-always seems like forever when you're waiting on them!) before you see the bloom, Stephanie. Hard to say with Aloes. Pix like those you took will do just fine! =) Looking forward to your bloom pix!

Which reminds me, we didn't have a June Bloom post & here it is, almost halfway through July! Maybe I should concentrate on getting some bloom pix processed for a new post! LOL Rina...where are you?? :D

Defo looks like Aloe vera (only capital letter on the first name)
Flowers should be yellow

My Aloe is finally starting to bloom. I thought it might all open at once. I took this on the 4th and we have not had a lot of sun since then.

Nice Aloe! Mine looks like it's skipping this year (but maybe if I repot it....), so I'm glad your A.v. is flowering for you. Apparently this species can flower at any time of year.

I repotted mine late winter. This is the first year it bloomed for me. I fertilized with Bloom Booster my MG.
