I bought a Pachypodium densiflorum seedling from arid lands. here is a pic.

I felt it and it's soft and squishy. But I believe that is because it is dehydrated and that is way it came. What does every one think?

I planted it in a gritty mix. I first watered it on 7/19/14
and I watered again today.,
