| The oldest pad is producing two fresh buds + more on the way on the other two pads!
Sadly, they aren't flowers. I'm seeing ephemeral leaves!

| Opuntias are positively notorious (especially the pad-type Platyopuntia subtribe) for showing their ephemeral / vestigal leaves. Is there a picture with your post? |

| Unfortunately, the computer I use for posting pics is having internet connection troubles. I've only got this laptop. I might get an image or two posted in a few days. |
