When the temps get in the 100's and above all I can think of is a desert scene. I arranged this one today and I will say this, I broke out in a sweat for the garden so I hope you all enjoy it.

Thanks David, your day is soon coming, I could sure use more land (space) to grow more & more all over..

Today I finally moved my wall decor, it has 3 racks to hold small pots so I planted some succulents in the little pots.

This has to be one of my best times of the year, meaning the heat, I tell myself, my cacti & succulents love & thrive in this kind of weather.

Hope your all enjoying this season, its the beach for me tomorrow.

I always enjoy the pics of your plants and 'stuff.'
That agave just may be getting huge one day.
Ours is gigantic with many pups. Getting poked
with one of those needled tips can really make
you break a sweat! Then you feel like throwing
the pot and all over the fence.
With the temp today of 108 I agree with you
that the cacti and succulents are thriving.
My sans are also outside in the shade and
enjoy the frequent watering. The special
sans get to stay in the house. One pot of
cylindrical that's outside is producing pups like
crazy, 17 new offsets in one pot.
Have a fun and relaxing day at the beach...
which beach may I ask?

Thanks lilbit & Karen, I think I'm headed to Laguna beach and down in one of the coves, its so relaxing or is it just that theres so many cacti & succulents there.

Oh and I've found that agaves that have been potted up usually don't grow so much, as apposed to being in the ground, not to much any way.

Oh boy! Now thats a burro tail! It isn't mine but its my moms and the best advice I can give is that it requirres ALOT of patience, other than good soil ( fast draining ) & alot of bright sun even full sun.

She just stuck it in soil and let it go... Me on the other had pick at it here and there as you can see from my pictures I have bits of it here & there Hey maybe I should use that handle too "Lilbit" Lol..

Just get started and walk away from it except to water once in a while and feed.

Hopefully my burros tail will grow to such a beauty.
Wait, somehow that just doesn't sound right.
The reason why I mentioned the size of the agave is
that our agaves are grown in huge galvanized tubs and
clay pots. They've grown monsterously large with those
needled tips of an inch or more! Lots and lots of offsets.
Fun name lilbits, I once used lilsprouts as my 'name.'
Enjoy your day.

The beach is such a tranquil place to be any time I have a chance to get away from the garden I go to the bigger garden where I get more inspiration for the lil garden. Love this scene.

Great looking stuff Greg. I thank you better keep a empty pot on hand for that Cactus with the agave. But they look fine now. I like the Cactus shelf a bunch too. Your burro tail is blooming and thats something else around here. What are the plants in the last picture? are they some sort of Bromeliad? Hechtia maybe.
