If you mean the 1st plant, I only know it is an Echeveria gibbiflora hybrid.

I've never seen anything like it. Of course you brought this stunning plant home, you've got great taste! The other one is its' equal, both awesome!

When one buys a great looking succulent like that in CA, what is the mix in the pot?

Mara, the Echeveria in the 2nd pic is 'Lotus'. I am aware of a 'Blue Curls' & a 'Blue Curl', which is a very large plant (tissue culture), but have not heard of 'Giant Blue Curls'.

Good question, Tiffany, but the plants are so large, the soil cannot be seen. I imagine it's still in a peat-y mix. They make them to retain water while they sit in the stores or are in transit. I'm sure I have many repotting jobs to put on my List! :P
