Distinguishing Between Pleiospilos bolusii and P. nelii

I'm curious if anyone has tips on distinguishing between P. bolusii and P. nelii. I have a small, but slowly growing (no pun intended!) succulent collection.
I'm pretty sure I'm doing everything wrong, but I'll go into more detail about that when I am able to post pictures & show what I'm talking about.
(I'm sure a photo would help, but I think you have to make a certain number of posts before you can upload photos. Or at least I read that.)
Curiously, although I'm not doing things right, all of the plants have remained alive for the short time they've been in my care.
