Since you're here, may I ask a question: if I keep pinching this plant Portulacaria afra, will it be low? I wouldn't want it to outgrow the other two plants in the dish.

Yes, if you pinch, it will stay low (and it will backbud and become nice and thick). I have several, and one of those I'm pinching to create a round little mound for a small pot. I don't think you'll have problems with this guy outgrowing the others.
