My plant is over 10 years old and was grown from 3 cuttings from a friend's plant.....It has bloomed once a year for the past 7 years......I have it planted in Jungle Growth potting soil and feed it Miracle Gro time-released fertilizer. I don't let it dry out but don't keep it wet either (happy medium).
The trailers you see on the racks are used for clinging to fences, trees, etc. so the plant can climb, which is what it does in it's native habitat of Mexico. I hope this info has been useful to some of you. Happy gardening!
