First repotting: success! (I hope.)

I just tried moving three babies plus one foundling into soil I prepared myself. Maybe not a big deal for most, but it's a HUGE achievement for me. Now to see if they survive. :)

You all were right, the soil they arrived in was peaty, moldy and wet Wet WET. The new soil reminds me of my mother-in-law's pot-roast. Dry as a desert and crackly to the touch.

The mix was 40% pebbles/grit, 40% perlite and 20% cactus soil from Home Depot. Felt good actually and didn't clump in my hand at all.

My repotting-pot for the cactus was too small...so I made do with a plastic container with holes cut into the bottom for drainage. I think he can spread wideways and a year from now I'll report again. (Yes I need to find a tray for it to sit on.)

To be clear, I should let them for a few days (5-7?) before watering? Resting time?
