Bought an etiolated Echeveria.. help!!

I bought an Echeveria from Walmart a few weeks ago. At the time I did not know it was an Echeveria because it is growing tall and upwards, meanwhile the leaves are facing downwards.

It is very clear this plant was not getting proper sunlight at walmart, so I am wanting to replant it. How would I go about this and do you think it is even likely I can get this plant to look normal??

It has a new branch with a tight rosette at the top.

slowly accustom it to more light so it stops being etiolated. when you see a normal looking rosette at the top of the plant, cut that part off and root it. leave the rest of the plant to continue to grow, because it will start to produce new rosettes in multiple places, which you can then cut off, and root for yet more plants.

p.s. make sure it is planted in a gritty mix.

A rosette has grown on this new branch since I brought it home. Should I wait for another one to grow? I am new to this. How much should I cut off and what does "rooting" entail?
