Just keep trying things until it looks good.

I agree with hoovb, but I'd like to offer this little bit of advice....I would remove the actual cacti from your pot and plant them up either alone or as a completely separate grouping (depending on similar needs). Mixing cacti and non-cacti succulents is never a good idea because of the different water requirements.

Ooooooo! My passion! But mine are MOSTLY "Fairy Gardens" and I do them with all plant types. My favorite (which I've shared with this forum before) has 2 zones. There is a division of plastic beneath the soil separating them. The desert part is cactus soil and the oasis is regular potting soil.

It's a learning process to figure out what can/should survive together. Don't get frustrated if you have to switch something out! Also, try to follow the "Thrill, spill and fill" rule. You find a taller/brighter/larger piece as the "thrill", or focus, something to "spill" from the container (think string of bananas/pearls, sedums, burro tails, etc.), and the rest to "fill" the spaces.

Thanks for all of the advice. It was actually one of the first big containers I started experimenting with so I keep swapping out and potting different ones. Fortunately, or unfortunately, it is hot here every day, so I haven't seen too much harm in my plant groupings. I'm so jealous of your fairy garden! It's absolutely wonderful. Just discovered a site of miniature things for fairy gardens. Can't wait until I get paid again. (Once a month for us teachers).

I like to find very small ceramic animals to stick in between the plants.
Or granddaughter finds pretty rocks or shells. Makes her feel good to
help granny.
