You could probably leave it alone for a week or so & see how the plantlets develop. As long as that soil isn't too moist, they should be fine. Likely you could stop watering them somewhat or at least water them less often, as Kalanchoes like to dry out btwn waterings.

I have trouble growing the babies also. Should they be broken off the leaf or left to grow on the leaf?

Leaving plantlets on the leaf works very well. If you could post a photo of the leaf, you might get a name for the plant. Are the plantlets along the leaf margin or just near the tip? Yalt

The plantlets are along the leaf margin. Also, I have a plantlet growing well on the tip of the mother plant.

No need to feel guilty. They were probably going to get stepped on by customers anyways. So you actually saved their life!

Fran are you referring to the brown spots on the leaves? That is part of the leaf color. I have a picture of the flower bud that is forming.

Can anybody please let me know if my donkey's ear will ever produce more babies again or if there is anything we can do to help the process along? It kind of died in the winter (b/c we had to leave it with a friend while we were out of town) but has recently (in the past month) started showing excellent signs of revival. The leaves are growing just not very quickly. It never got to the point of producing flowers, and we are not even sure if we have the mother plant or one of the babies that lived through the winter.
