Sansevieria Problem

I recently got a new sansevieria that looked very healthy. A month or so later I started noticing rotting brown/yellow spots on the leaves. It seems to be affecting leaves on one side of the plant so far. Any ideas what it could be? This morning I removed the worse leaves and applied some neem oil in case it was a fungus. It is near a register, so I'm wondering if it could be cold air damage? It looked like that in some horticulture pictures I found. I have two other sansevierias and they are both old and healthy. I had the same issue with a Sans I purchased at Lowes one year. It appeared a short time after purchase. It was a blister and upon poking it, it sprayed me in the face (I know, doh Planto). I am unable to find the website again, but I remember reading that it's some sort of fungus that affects Sans and it spreads through spores. They showed pictures of Sans in a nursery that had those lesions all over them. I believe they stated that it was difficult, if not impossible to treat, as the spores will hibernate until the right conditions.

Ugh, great. Thanks for the information. The blister is weird. I think I will just toss it then. I certainly don't want it infecting any healthy plants I have here.

Can you return it to where you purchased it from? I know Lowes and HD have a one year guarantee on their plants. Sorry to inform you that it's not something "good," but the better that you know!
