Haworthias with thrips..

I've never had a problem with thrips on Haworthias before, but then my Haws have had a rough summer. All of my plants are in a greenhouse this summer, and are loving it, with exception of some H. truncata, maughanii, and Emil, which lost their roots to varying degrees for the first time since I planted their seed around 2008. They also got a bit sunburnt. The outer leaves are pale and bleached looked with black spots on them. Now I've started finding thrips. I've been treating with rubbing alcohol, but they are still showing up... I'm a bot worried because all my plants have to come inside soon for the winter, and I don't want thrips to take over my collection. I had them once years ago, but they only seemed to bother my large jade at that time, and i can't really recall how I got rid of them.

Has anyone dealt with thrips on Haworthias before? Will rubbing alcohol do the trick eventually?

happy growing!
