40 yr old jade plant pruning - timing

First off, I do not have these jades yet - there are two of these and I hope I get them. Someone was giving these away and I've expressed my intent to adopt them. Hope I hear back from him soon. I'm still going to jump the gun here and ask questions as if I already have them. Better to be prepared!

Anyways, it's pretty obvious these guys didn't receive enough sunlight. droopy branches and they could REALLY use some trimming! But is it too late in the season to do trims? ..maybe an extreme trim...? ;P

Or should I wait till next spring? I will be overwintering them indoors (it goes to -40 degrees Celsius at times here) by a sunny window. Hoping I can make enough room for these guys - again, trimming would help in this department.

What I know is that you do your trims in the spring, let them heal, and grow back over rest of the year. I trimmed my own jade plants early this summer and haven't touched them since.
