Too bad you aren't having a big family cookout right by that -- just think .... it would possibly be a party remembered for years.

Stapelia gigantea is mild compared to most of them. My Hoodia gordonii is worse than it too. My husband got down and took a whiff of it on my urging. That won't happen again. My orbea is also more pungently similar to rotten meat.

I would have never guessed that one's a stinky. As you likely know, they range from a sweetish chocolate smell to putridly alarming, with most of them on the rank end of things. Nice for you and fortunately it's outside.
