Flower buds on my Kalanchoe Chocolate soldier?

They're really dark red/brown compared to the other leaves. Is that just what new growth looks like on these?

If they are flower buds they're REALLY late in the season, I mean it's almost fall/winter here!

That's concentrated new growth on your Kalanchoe 'Chocolate Soldier' - I can taste the colossally high cacao content from here. They're usually late winter/early spring/summer flowerers.

I never had 'Chocolate Soldier' flower, but its flowers are similar to Kalanchoe tomentosa 'Super Fuzzy', just a little smaller.
