Well, depends on just how much perlite you used. Many people starting out underestimate the amount of well-draining ingredients that is necessary for a good mix, and not seeing what you've got makes it tough to judge for sure. A picture of your mix right now would help us help you out the best.

I dumped a good amount it.... I'd say 1/3 of it is pearlite.

50% is often used as a number

I use 50-60% for my sans and jades. Some of the more finicky plants are in mixes with almost no soil at all.

Hmmmm... ok thanks! I will definitely add more pearlite if I notice the succulents not looking well!! :) (I want to give them a little time to adjust, since I'm sure they are in a bit of shock at the moment.

Yes, Perlite won't improve *drainage* until the mix is mostly Perlite.

When did you pot your plants? Did you remove the old soil from the roots?
