Thanks for the tip. Last summer, I ordered several from a seller on ebay from Las Vegas. Can't remember the name but will research if anyone is interested. They were wonderful and many had free shipping.

I also put an order in and very pleased with the plants I received. Well rooted and very low price. Some plants you never heard of they have. Will go back next spring.

Thank you DD. I took the pic just before I started moving the plants. I'm getting them into their winter quarters, winnowing the number down each year. I have sent a bunch of the big plants to a public garden. About 10 Ferocactus species, for instance. And big Cleistocactus, Espostoas, etc. that were taking up too much room. When the plant gets 4-5 ft. tall, it is a pain (literally) to move them in and out of the g-house. The Feros were in 10-14 inch pots and needed repotting. Like the rest of us, I am getting older, and lifting all the pots can strain an old man. The Cephalocereus senilis you see in the pic should have gone too, but his pot was only 4 inches until last year.

That is the problem with living in the north (Penn.) and growing plants that become tree-like. So, big Aloes, gone. South American ceroids, gone. Opuntias, gone. Things like Pineapple, tall Begonias, big pots of annuals, gone.

I live in a small one bedroom apartment with a nice patio. Some of my plants include 12 small tree aloes plus I ordered seeds for one more Aloe suzannae. I have other succulents too. Imagine what my apartment will look like in ten years.

Beautiful collection! Do you put them in a greenhouse in the winter?
