No, Richard, it cannot (no chlorophyll), and even if it could, as teen points out, this isn't the season to do that (I mean, it could be done, but IMO the pup's better off if separated and rooted/grown during spring/summer). Which Agave is that?

the reason I ask is because someone on eday just sold one for sixty dollars and was curious I didn't think it would
survive but stranger things have happened. momma was in real rough shape ,but for four dollars I couldn't pass it up I put it on a shelf out of sight and this is what I got.
