The plant has damage from general neglect, not insect damage. It seems like some variety of Crassula perforata.

Thanks so basically the nursery isn't taken care of it. Would you call it mechanical damage then? Or just over watering then under watering and do on? Thanks for your opinion

Just "mechanical" damage. No way to tell when it happened, other than to say it's old damage because it's calloused. And there is no way to tell how it happened. Could have been a hungry insect or a careless grower or even an accident by someone handling the plant. If you were thinking scale, you would usually see multiple small circular spots, usually on the underside of the leave or on a stem.

Thanks bikerdoc!! I've never seen scale in person before (guess I should be thankful for that lol) and was curious. :)
