Thanks! I like that idea. The stem on the right still needed a little extra propping up. The top was drooping over, so I used a smaller rock and a dowel. I'll keep an eye on it. It may have still been a little droopy from being repotted. And maybe the branching will balance it out.

The ones in question look to be 'Crosby's Compact' or some other compact form. I grow these and they have a very gangly habit unless they are regularly pruned or pinched. You can certainly support the trunk until it has taken a set, but that growth will keep going out and up, which means you'll eventually want to prune.

My sister also has a twin-trunk growing from a stump that was frosted, and it grew bolt upright and then began to droop. So I pinched the tips earlier this Summer with the following results. I will need to prune it again before long. Also, as the plant leans toward the sun, I turn it ever so often to keep the foliage centered above the trunk.

Here are most of the plants that were in the big pot. And it was a 10-inch pot, not 12. Most were straightened up nicely, but nearly all are heavy at the ends of the branches. It was just most obvious on the plant in the original post. And the little guy, too.

January and February are my coldest months, averaging 70s in the day and low 50s at night. The 40s are not rare, but 30s are. The sun is plentiful, too. So I'm thinking I should keep an eye on these guys while they adjust to being repotted (it's been a week) and snip as needed later. Or do you think I should go ahead and pinch the tips now?

I'd have them in outside during the day, that's for sure, to take advantage of those wonderful daytime temps during one of their main growing seasons. Those nighttime temps are not generally too cold at all, but if you've recently watered them you'd want them inside at night most of the time.

Luckily, winter is our dry time. I won't have to battle water and cold nights when the time comes. I shuttled them out to the sun and back in for the night last year after watering - so I got something right!
