Look at you and your leaf!

That leaf will accomplish big things! Other one took, too, but not quite as enthusiastically, at least yet. Now these guys get watering rewards for doing stuff right.

What are the big leaves from?

The big leaves are from the special Gasteria excelsa. I am pretty thrilled.

Oooh yeah, I did not wear gloves -- isn't that stupid of me? Stubby is filling in great. But weird thing, that little bit I removed was not super prickly. The crested growth is much more of a doozy than it was. But I suppose if I don't usually have the brains to wear gloves while handing my several Dyckias, I just might not grow brains.
