I have an Echeveria decora that does the same thing. One lower leaf will become very soft and turn a bit brown and wrinkly and I usually remove it in case it is infected by something. But now I am thinking this is just normal for the plant to do and there is no infection. But I am new to succulents and echeverias so I am just guessing.

The leaves do this one at a time. Does this sound like what your plants are doing?

Indeed. I read a lot of advice on this site, inspected the root of my plants (everything ok) and potted them on the correct mix. I became more careful when watering, etc.

That's exactly what they do, lose them one at a time (well, by the time the first one is brown another is already soft and whitening). At first I used to remove them, but since root inspection showed no rot, there are no bugs, etc. now I leave those leaves.

Probably you're right and the plant know what it does want to grow or keep and what not. Anyway, I just wanted to check if it was normal or if there's anything that could be done to help the plant if it's doing that due to lack/excess of water, moisture, sunlight, etc.
