I wish I could grow this in an outdoor hedge...then it would *really* put on some size!
Incidentally, I do grow Hedge Apples (Maclura pomifera) for hedges (different topic entirely).

Christopher, it's really the glochids of various cacti that keep me wary....a prejudice of sorts.
Otherwise, I quite enjoy the toxic reputation of Euphorbia. The more that folks warn against them,
the more I like them.

Brad, I did grow a Castor Bean plant this year....it didn't quite reach the kingdom of the giants,
but it grew monstrously quick. I saved a handful of beans for next year's trick... ;)

I'm looking for some plants to put around my solar lights to protect them from thieve's and this may do the trick!
I'm going to look around here and see what I can find!

I have my share of pokey plants, and the other day my barrel cactus "bit" me. Ungreatful child anyway! LOL!

I'm getting ready to make prickly pear jelly, and boy do I know about the glochids! ;) Not fun to get out. Labor of love. ;)
