| This plant was a gift as a cutting 4 or 5 years ago. Last year it caught some sort of crinkly brown disease and most of it died. It has now grown back, but I missed the night thqat it bloomed in August. Then this bud grew in september, and I managed to get a sequence of photos.
Bud at 5pm
Mostly open at midnight
Fully open at 5am
Entire plant with one bud.

eukofios,Oxypetallums are a great bloomer for me, every year I get to 2 sets of blooms one in the late spring just after moving them to the shade house and again in mid fall when I bring them back in side, the scent fills the house and at times its over powering but I wouldn't be with out them. my large one has had up to 30 blooms at one time. Rigo, your hookeri is all so known as a strictum and is all so a white night bloomer with narrow pointed petals, I'v had mine for a little over 4 years and still no blooms but I have all the time in the world to wait for it to bloom |

| Thank you for the comments. elsier - this was nicely scented, although subtle. Of course, it was only once blossom. gardenbear, your epi oxy must be really impressive in bloom. even just one flower is an amazing sight. 30 would be 30-times amazing. |

| By 10AM it was probably faded. I have a couple that bloom off and on all year long Multiples in the spring and then a bud here and there. Very nice flowers, too bad they last such a brief time. Plant will get quite large. Nick |

| Mine takes up my whole bay window! It's HUGE!! I have given cuttings away in the spring. I move it outside under the pine tree and the thing just loves it! It's gotten to the point it breaks the pot every year. I have to take a saw to it and cut it back! Mine is pink. I'll have to share pics of it with you. |

Pink.... Any way we could trade cuttings? I would send postage. Might not be the right time of year tho, if it freezes.... I could get addicted to these. |
