| When can you start fertilizing Cactus seedlings?
I have some maybe 7 month old Melocactus seedlings. They seem extremely small for their age (maybe im doing something wrong) and i was wondering if fertilization would help grow them up faster. If a pic is needed i will get that tomorrow. |

| Hey Z, I don't grow many cacti from seed but I do have a few going (Leuchtenbergia principa and some Ariocarpus). My experience in seeds is mostly Mesembs but also quite a bit of Anacampseros, Avonia, Aloe, Gasteria, Haworthia and some Agave. I begin fertilizing with every watering immediately after germination is complete but diluted to 1/10th normal strength. I have experienced greatly improved results since I began doing this. |
