Seedlings.. Leave out? or Bring in? ???

Hi,
I have some seedlings.. They are actually hitch hikers...lol.. They are growing in pots of plants that I purchased.

I was wondering if I should remove them from the pot and replant in something inside for the winter.

Or leave them where they are.

I really dont want to bring the whole pots in, space is limited right now. My plant room is under remodel.

They are Dorstenia and the others are unknown but growing in with a Stapeliad.

They are 1 1/2"-2" tall.
The room they would be in has east and south light.

I am going to make a simple greenhouse soon but it will most likely just be a structure covered with plastic, doubt it will have heat.

Don't tamper with success. If they are doing okay leave them alone, unless they will not like the cold. We wait a full year before to transplant seedlings. They are greenhouse grown until approx 1 yr old, then they get the the big kids house. Give them a light fertilizer while they are growing to make them strong and can't be pushed around. Don't be too fast to pull them out of their comfort zone. Do you know what they are? Norma

JoJo,

Based on what little I know about Dorstenias, I would imagine that they don't like any chill - being basically Indian Ocean-area plants, they'd think that 45-50F is a xylem-chilling experience. They might not perish (I would think they may because of the chilled temps) but it won't do them any good. Maybe they'd suffer no ill effects, but maybe not.

~~Norma,
several are Dorstenia hybrids. The others, I don't know. They are growing in a pot of stapeliads, but were there when I got the plant.. so no clue.

Just worried so small will get to cold.

What little I have found, is they are winter dormant.... We do get kinda cold at night. Dropped to 35 last night.

It wont be a real "warm" greenhouse.
