My Jade is pitting and growing roots

Hi - I have a 50 year old jade that, unfortunately, was overwatered and fell over. I am trying very hard to save it. After giving the trunk several weeks to dry, I put it in soil and have only misted the soil once a week. There is a lot of new growth sprouting on the trunk but there is also a lot of roots. I have cut back many of the branches with roots. Anyway, my question is about some pitting that I see on some leaves (see pic). Can anyone tell me what this pitting means?

Thanks so much for the help.
