| Ok so my big jade is about to bloom for the first time since I've had it. This is the first time I've had a jade bloom. Anything special I need to do? Special care? Anything I shouldn't do? It's supposed to freeze tonight so I'm bringing it in for the night. It will go right back out tomorrow though. Any help would be appreciated!

| Yeah, have fun while it looks so beautiful and then enjoy the mess it will make in two or three months when the flowers dry up and turn to tiny little white crunchy stuff on your floor! I share your enthusiasm and excitement but after flowering several of mine over the years, I've had enough of cleaning up the mess left behind. Now I don't allow them to flower. Please share some pictures. |

| My jades have never left any mess on the floor after blooming. The flowers just dry up and disappear. |

| Lucky you, Ron. Mine dry up alright and then the white flowers seem to disintegrate falling to the floor with the slightest touch. I try to pick them off but most of the crinkly flowers just float to the floor like fresh snowflakes. For sure the don't, "Just dry up and disappear." |

| I'll take pictures soon. Just started a full time job, plus school full time, plus 3 kids! There's isn't much to see right now anyway. Just little tiny buds between the leaves. ~Erin~ |

| Erin, congratulations to you! It seems that when one gets there Jade to bloom in Florida, it's a miracle and I am happy for you! I got my 20 year old to bloom for the first time too! I can't believe it! |

| Congrats, Erin, enjoy it! In some parts of the world, I'm sure folk are overwhelmed by the falling of dried Jade blooms.... but here it ain't so common, and I dare-say I'll take on the vaccuuming in exchange for these delightful little flowers. Erin, I've noticed that Jade flowers will wither if the plant goes too dry...not that I expect such to happen in Florida ;-) Which brings us to Mike and Jeff's point...it is thought that the consistent light and the humidity This cutting came from John in Oregon, and this is the third year it has bloomed for me.

| It's only a matter of time, Jeff! John sent me two cuttings, and both have bloomed. Josh |
