Pachypodium lamerei in trouble

I have this Madagascar Palm about 6 feet tall. Four months ago it lost its leaves after I tented the house for termites - apparently it was too close to the tent. The trunk is still firm and has good color, but no leaves are coming out. Is this a goner? Any possible remedies?
TIA

Sounds like it just went dormant. Any sudden changes in the weather when you tented? A week of cold weather is enough to send my Pachy's to sleep. Did the tenting suddenly put it in a shadow? Either of those might have sent it dormant, and now as fall approaches, it just decided to stay formant until spring.

If the trunk is firm, there is nothing to do but keep it dry and wait. I would bet it is just fine though.

In the past has it gone dormant during winter? What time of year did it start? Is it in the ground or in a pot?

It is in the ground, and the tenting did not shadow it. I will follow your advice, keep it dry, and wait for the spring.

The gass most likey killed the leaves. If you dont see any trunk rot or discoloration,it might be just a matter of weeks before it flushes new leaves.
When I have gotten overspray of ant killers..my plants did the same thing-especially the Adeniums.
