Well, don't get too attached to a name. Some books say white (most I've seen), but some don't recognize tubiflora as anything but a white form of oxygona, which some lump further into other species. The tubiflora I had tended to be more solitary than oxygona (from Mesa seed), but that could have been my bias.
You don't say how the plant got to be labeled tubiflora, maybe the name was off from the git-go?
Tnx for response, The blooms last almost a week, and produce no smell, dosnt sound like an oxygona. Received the plant labeled, anyway makes for a nice show with multiple blooms. fRANK
Blooms that last a week? Then it is probably a hybrid. The reason I say that is that I've grown at least a half dozen Echinopsis species from seed, and none had flowers that lasted more than 2 days each. With hybrids comes spectacular flower colors and blooms that last longer. If the plant was grown from open pollinated seed, maybe a hybrid?
