Nice plant, Takehiko...One observation I would make is that it could really use more light. In bright light, the growth is more compact.

This is a an old photo of a "Gollum" Jade I keep against a south facing window. You can see the vigorous growth because of the bright light.

Christopher - It's as good as it's going to get right now. It's in my office at work so my choices are limited. Thanks for the tip though.

Josh - I have no idea if it really is a Crassula ovata or not. Something close to it at least. Any other guesses as to what it might be so I can look up some pictures to compare?

Christopher - Follow up question: Could too much fertilizer cause the same kind of non-compact growth? Right now I'm giving it some Foliage-Pro with every weekly watering.

Honestly right now don't fertilize my Jades at all, but Josh would be the man to ask...if you need Jade help, he is your man.

:-) With a fast-draining mix like that, fertilize 1/4 strength once a week, no problem.

As for what else it might be...I'm not sure, but I seem to recall seeing a very similar Crassula. I'll have to check Peter Lapshin's database.

I'm using the Foliage-Pro 9-3-6 right now at roughly 1/4 tsp per gallon with every weekly watering. Does that sound about right for strength?

I have one that looks very similar. It was marked Crassula platyphylla. When I look up pics on the internet, I see there are some that have the elongated leaves like mine and some that have a more rounded leaves.
