The picture doesn't show, but if you're using the same soil as you've previously pictured, that would be the major contributor.

1) Post the picture you intended to post
2) Adjust your soil so there's less organic material in it

This might not be very helpful, but a fire is useful agenst many diseases and mold.

I grow tomatoes, not cacti, but I still get damping off. It is a bacterial problem, usually Pythium. They thrive in a cold, wet, mucky soil mix with low oxygen levels.

Just a small correction, but most causes (see reference below) of damping off are caused by fungal infections, not bacterial vectors. Treatment with fungicides will help.

Hydrogen peroxide is ( kind of ) an anti bacterial that helps control bacterial infection(s) I would think peroxide might not be as effective if you use it for fungus control.. I agree the use of a funguside isn't the only thing you COULD/SHOULD/ WILL do.

Suggest you should read more into environmental preventions for fungus and other problems that concern you relating to any/all of your plants

Prevention, meaning: Not a grantee. Look up it's definition, while reading seriously consider that soil is an environment
Prevention in the example(s) mentioned mean if you utilize a better environment all around ( including the one in your soil) chances are better that you might not get a fungus at all.

Don't spray them with strawberry jam is all I'm committing to then.

I agree that you should go ahead and burn everything. And switch to plants that like heavy, water drenched soil. Maybe some kind of swamp type plants?

Spike - I have never used the H2O2 on my plants, but I see no harm. I have used the liquid copper solution with success to treat fungi. It does not harm the plants.

Good luck! I've never been able to save plants from damping off. I also wasn't growing succulents, but flowers for a bed I have.
