The seeds will turn red when ripe. Once you clean off the red seed coat the seeds are almost a translucent white and look kind of like eggs. Plant the seeds immediately as they don't store well.
Thank you for the info. I looked up the propogation online and it says they take a long time to turn red and to germinate. Hope we get lucky with some new ones. I'll try to keep an eye on them. Thank you, Linda
