In the book I'm using it is spelled Euphorbia tortilis Rottler ex Ainslie mainly from India used as a hedge plant. Not all E. milii are 'Crown of Thorns' This plant is not a E. milii. I couldn't even find the name in my other books. I found the name in another book, the name is good. I hope that is what you have. Norma

Any balanced fertilizer when in leaf after you water. Keep warm during winter, do not water when there are no leaves on the plant. Must be kept inside during the winter. I found very little information on the plant, and needed to look in five books just to find the infoormation I gave you. It does not tell the height it will get, but I know if you keep it in a small pot and change the soil in early spring it will stay small, it does not mention flower color, but I just bet they will be yellow with three leaves. Stay away from the sap, if it gets on you wash your hands first with milk then soap and water. We water in the summer only once a week, yep treat it as a cactus, we water our cactus once a week as well. I notice that you live in Florida, when it rains wait until your plant is dry before watering again. Mircle Grow is fine look for number of 7-7-7 on the front on the box. None of the books will tell you how large it will get, they seldom tell you the flower color. Depending where you purchased the plant it may not even be the right name for that plant.
