Identify this plant please

Neighbor lady was put in nursing home and I asked to have her plants. This one I can't seem to identify. After washing off concrete mud and potting it in better soil and some water it gave me a thank you bouquet :) It has been neglected for years, not sure if this is the true color of the plant. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Copiapoa, Robin, maybe C. hypogea.

Thanks cactusmcharri! Looks like you are right. Surprised that the neighbor had this plant in her yard. Most of her plants are what I call Home Depot plants :) and capiapoa hypogea is probably not sold at Home Depot :) Thanks again!

I agree with the ID by Jeff. This plant is found at HD on occasion, as I'm fairly certain that's where I bought mine.

Copiapoa at Homedepot? I gotta get me one...

Btw, love the orange on the plant.

Looking at photos online they seem more green than orange. I think these were just extremely neglected, no water, full sun, poor soil. But I agree, the orange is kind of nice. I hope that they change over time and that any new growth is healthy green.

Robin,

The healthy ones are a greyish-green.

And if you want some blue colours, get a load of Pilosocereus, which would grow very well for you.

Pilosocereus look like big cacti. Not my style :)
