The names of the 'Owl-Eyes'.

| Does anyone know which species of Mamillaria have the "owl-eye" growth habit? That's where the stem branches repeatedly in a dichotomous manner, leaving the stem tips of a mature clump looking like several families of staring owlets! I want to compare the different species, but I can't seem to find any lists out there.
Here's looking at you!

| One of them could be M. parkinsonii. |

| Another one famous for this is M. perbella, and it also occurs in morganiana, pringlei, karwinskiana and variaculeata. And probably a few more ... |
One that I forgot
| | |
| M. formosa ssp. microthele |

| Thank you all! Sorry I took so long to look at this string, I got distracted. That seems to happen easily on Gardenweb--or is it me? : ]) Now I need to find pictures and decide which one I want, then find out which ones I can get. You all know how it goes. Image ogling on Google, Kevin : ) |
