Year-end last hurrah 2: A flowering lizard in the wild...

The 2nd plant I got from this same French seller is the Crassula tecta "Lizard Skin", another plant that I've never seen before. I really love the texture on the leaves and even the flower stems, so very unique...!

I started to be obsessed with Crassulas, there are so many cool cultivars that are just otherworldly and interesting to look at.

Here's the seller's photo (again, more professional than my photos...) It was already starting to bud, I was a bit afraid they would die off during shipping, but man these plants are strong!

Received and repotted

That is very beautiful plant. Flower clusters look like drumstic primula.

@rina Yeah, I was attracted by the leaves but crassula flowers always intrigue me too, I'm glad all of them were able to open up quite nicely even after 2 weeks of no soil/in the darkness..

@Icadena Glad you like it! I got it online through eBay. This one is from France. Few other great sellers from Germany and Italy too :)

I've seen some beautiful plants on EBay but shipping to Canada is so expensive.

Nice plant David! I have a small C. tecta I got years ago, it is very slow growing but is now blooming. I love the tiny Crassulas...

@lizzyda these one were around $10-12 CDN so not too bad I think, especially if you go for combine shipping, then two plants for that price is alright.

@breton2 thanks!! I love the fact that it is a slow grower and stays small, perfect for the limited space I have :P

Yep, mine is over 7 years old and still in a 5cm pot with lots of room to spare! Could you possibly PM the name of the seller? Always curious to see what else is available!!

Cool! It's interesting that some Crassulas are heavy growers and some are totally not.

Yes, I don't think it matters anyway.
The French seller I purchased most of my plants from is astrocactus2010. I like how his plants are Buy It Now only, and shipping is reasonable

cactusculture has the biggest selections and is Germany-based. Most of his items need bidding, and could go really high, shipping is a bit higher too.

gaia8910 is an Italian seller with neat plants too
