Looks like an epiphylium! A couple of mine have both cactus like with spines as well as flat leaves.The spines parts aren't as many as the flat leaves.

Can you offer tips on its proper care? I'm particularly keen on finding out expected bloom time, fertilizing and light regimes, etc. As you've probably guessed, I've never owned an epi before :-0

If memory serves me correctly I think mine start blooming around April.Tomorrow if I can remember I'll go look at my pictures and see for sure.I'm in S.Calif;where are you located??

I'm on the outer banks of North Carolina, Zone 8a. My plants are overwintering in the greenhouse. Do you suggest I fertilize them now? Also, are epis dependent on daylength to bloom? Appreciate your help.

I'm 3000 miles away from where you are;so have no clue what kind of care etc they require where you live.I'm in s.Calif.and I can grow everything outside all year long.I grow mine on the west side of my house;and I feed them once a year if that; and use whatever er I;m using at the time.

You could say I'm like Mother Nature;I don't do a lot of fussing and it works for me.
